Abstract Art – No One Understand it but Everyone Loves it
For over a century, abstract art has been one of any artist’s arsenals. Some even asserted abstraction to begin with cave paintings for as far as man can remember. Throughout changing times, it changes manifestos, testimonials as well as art movements.
Abstract art is difficult to comprehend much like figuring out how to maintain erections among men. But in reality, abstract art simply means distancing of ideas from objective referents. So what this actually means is that, it pulls a person’s idea from any representation reference and literal points in the visual art in front of them. Because of this, it is safe to say that abstract art is equivalent to nonrepresentational art. Abstract may be tracked to a number of different things including:
- Cubism
- Post Impressionism and;
- Impressionism
All these three have helped in realizing the concept that this art can be non-representative.
As for the movement of this type of art, modern abstract was made back in early 20th century.
It’s totally radical for its early days of course. Artists are starting to create simplified objections without or little reference to real world.
The Father
The very first artist who had created abstract art remains a mystery until this time of writing. On the other hand, Wassily Kandinsky is typically credited by several historians to being the father of paintings of floating, non-representational forms to as early as the 1912. His life’s work and masterpiece brought abstract to US in 1913 during the Armory Show.
The Present
Today, abstract lives in different forms. It can be 2D or 3D, huge or small depending on the artist’s skills and perspective. Abstract art can be made as well using various materials and on any canvas. It may be used in concert along with representational art or it can be totally abstract. Artists who make one usually concentrate on other visual qualities similar to form, scale, texture and everything in between into their nonobjective work.
A huge hurdle in creating an abstract is getting past the barrier in your mind questioning whether abstract is a legit form of art. This block might be due to the reason that you’re still wondering if abstract art is actually “art” at all.
